Geistwald Registration Guide

How to Register

To Register for attending Geistwald you must follow the following steps.

 

  • First you must complete the Newcomer Survey if you are interested in attending Geistwald as either Player or a Staffer 

  • Then email us your character Backstory or concept, it does not have to be fully fleshed out yet, at geistwaldlarp@gmail.com

  • Once your Survey and Backstory have been completed you will be entered into the Registration List. If Player Cap has been reached, you will be placed on the Waiting List.

Player Cap and Registration Slots

Player cap for Geistwald is 50 Players.

  • There will be 24 Cabin Tickets and 26 Tenting Tickets available. 

  • For Year One we will only be offering registration for One Event at a time.

  • After Year One we will be offering 25 Seasonal Passes as well as the 25 Single Event registration slots on a per event basis. Registration for these Tickets will only be open after the conclusion of the event preceding it.

Waiting List

Geistwald has historically reached its Player Cap of 50 registration slots filled for an event. As of right now, please continue to follow the Registration Steps above to be added to the Waiting List. As registration slots open, those on the waiting list will be granted the opportunity to register as a Player based on the order the requests were received, as well as priority provided to those who have Cast at previous events.  

Pricing

For the first year of Geistwald, and potentially the full run of the game, we will have a sliding scale for the price of admission based upon what you can financially afford.  It will cost us around $70 per person to run Geistwald and we ask that unless you cannot afford it, to please pay at least that amount.  If you can afford more, that extra will go to help cover the cost of someone else’s ticket.  

 

Registration Priority Order

After each event, registration slots will be filled in the following order until cap is met:

  • Returning Players that attended the previous event.

  • People who deferred their registration for the previous event to the next event, in the chronological order in which they asked to defer their registration slot.

  • People who had been on the Waiting List but attended the previous event as a player due to a deferred registration, in the chronological order in which they were offered to fill the deferred registration slot.

  • People on the Waiting List who attended the previous event as NPC Cast, in the chronological order in which they asked to be placed on the Waiting List.

  • People on the Waiting List who did not attend the previous event, in the chronological order in which they asked to be placed on the Waiting List.

  • People who are not on the Waiting List and did not attend the previous event.

 

A list of the current registration offer priorities should be available for viewing leading up to an event.

Refunds

We are offering full refunds up to two weeks prior to an event. After this date, we still request that you inform staff if you no longer plan on attending the event. This way we can offer the registration slot to a player on the waiting list. Canceling Registration and/or Refunds Requests need to be made to Staff via email at Geistwaldlarp@gmail.com

Players may not select who their registration slot is transferred to, instead staff will offer their registration slot to players based on the order outlined in the “Registration Priority Order” section above. 

Deferred Registration

We are offering the ability for people with a Single Event Registration Slot to request that their slot be deferred to the following event, should they no longer be able to attend the event they had originally registered for. This will not result in a refund, but will ensure your place in the order in which registration slots will be offered before the following event. Players may not defer their registration for two subsequent events and if doing so, will instead be offered a refund. 

 

Players may not select who their registration slot is transferred to, instead staff will offer their registration slot to players based on the order outlined in the “Registration Priority Order” section above.
